Chris Mangum

Mr. Mangum was born on September 30, 1965, in Anderson, South Carolina; a son of the late James and Gladys Loudell McDougald Mangum. He was a United States Army Veteran. Mr. Mangum was a retired correctional officer with Hall County Correctional Institute with 19 years of service.

Survivors include his loving wife of 15 years, Cathey Ivie Mangum of Lula; daughter, Heather; son, Marty Mangum of Hall County; stepson and wife, Jeff and Latisha Marcus of Baldwin; sister and brother-in-law, Sandy and Jimmy Ivie of Lula; sister, Anita Dyer of Gainesville; step-granddaughters: Kristen Marcus, Brooke Wade and Heather Vaughan; step-grandson, Brett Wade; step-great-grandchildren: Cason Wood, Raelyn Tyre, and Jaxson Whitfield; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 18, 2018 at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel with Rev. Sanford Kimbrell officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the United States Army, VFW Post 7720, American Legion Post 84, and the Rabun County DAV #15.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to the service hour at the funeral home prior to the service.
