Driver charged in wreck that injured biker

Accident temporarily closed GA 365 North near Habersham County line

A Helen man is charged in connection with a wreck that sent one person to the hospital on Sunday. It happened on GA 365 North at Jaemor Farm Roard.

36-year-old Adrian Surowiecki was turning into Jaemor Farms from GA 365 South in a Ford F-250 when he pulled into the path of a northbound motorcycle, according to the Georgia State Patrol.

The Honda CBR250 struck the right side of the pickup with its front end. After impact, the motorcycle overturned. Its driver, 43-year-old Audrey Courson of Lawrenceville, was injured. She was wearing a helmet, according to Cpl. Josh Hedden of Patrol Post 6 in Gainesville

Three passengers, including two juveniles, were in the pickup with Surowiecki. No one in the pickup was injured.

Surowiecki is charged with failure to yield.

The accident shut down GA 365 North for approximately one hour.
