Step back in time this Saturday, March 7, as the Cornelia Community House is transformed into a 1920s style Speakeasy. Capture all the fun of the roaring ’20s while helping to raise funds for a good cause.
Gatsby Gala is the theme of Cornelia’s 4th annual Casino Night fundraiser. It’s sponsored by Cornelia Main Street in conjunction with the Cornelia Downtown Development Authority. All proceeds will go to benefit the Cornelia Downtown Revitalization Fund which provides grants to Cornelia businesses and property owners to help with facade projects, signage, marketing and other business-related needs.
Professional casino gaming tables will be ready for guests to play to win raffle tickets for additional chances to win the $1000 Grand Prize raffled off at the end of the evening. (Must be present to win.) Come enjoy the lavish decor and ‘mugshot’ photo booth with ’20s props, dance to swinging music by Kip Dockery and sip on Speakeasy cocktail specials. It promises to be a memorable evening!
’20s attire is encouraged but not required. Tickets are $25 with advance purchase and $30 at the door. Tables for 6 can be reserved but are limited. Ticket price includes admission, 5 raffle tickets for grand prize, 1 drink ticket, heavy hors d’oeuvres, dessert and gambling chips. Additonal gambling chips and drink tickets may be purchased at cashier table. Full bar available.
Come prepared to bid on some spectacular silent auction items from area businesses. The silent auction will run from 7-9:30pm when bids will be closed and winners announced. The $1000 grand prize will be drawn at 9:50PM.
