(Cleveland)- The Enotah Judicial Circuit has a new Superior Court Judge and she is from White County. Joy Parks was sworn into office Tuesday morning by Governor Nathan Deal at the State Capitol.

Several county officials and others were on hand for the swearing-in.

“It was amazing the number and caliber of the local officials that showed up down there,” says Judge Parks. “It just shows the importance and significance of this position and just getting to meet with Governor Deal and the confidence that he has instilled by appointing me to this position.”

Parks is the first female superior court judge to serve from White County and only the second person from the county to serve in that position.
