Days of heavy rain caused flooding on GA 197 North near Batesville this morning.
The creek that feeds into the Soque River at the spot in the road known locally as “the Dip” overran its banks and spilled across the highway. Habersham County Transit driver Jennifer Higgins captured the scene early this morning on her route through the Batesville area.
