Jamaica Mission Team to perform at McDonald’s of Cornelia

A mission team from Jamaica will appear live in concert August 1 at McDonald’s of Cornelia.  The team, sponsored by Get Real ministries, is from Montego Bay.

Get Real is a non-profit 501c3 Christian Mission organization based in Baldwin. The ministry’s website describes how it started 17 years ago.

“It all started on May 16, 2001, in a field at Banks County High School in tiny Homer, Georgia. That night brought together almost 5,000 people from all over Northeast Georgia. It was at that moment we knew God was establishing something that was beyond our ability or thoughts. Soon after that historic night, Get Real Ministries was established,” the website says.

Today, Get Real has established mission locations in Kentucky, New Orleans, Jamaica and Georgia.

The group’s mission is to share hope in Christ through building relationships.

1 Thessalonians 2:8: Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well.

The Praise Concert at McDonalds begins at 10 a.m. It’s free! The public is encouraged to attend.
