The public is invited to attend a Topping Out Ceremony at the new county administration building in Clarkesville. During the event, guests will have an opportunity to sign a ceremonial beam that will be hoisted to the highest part of the building.
It’s a time-honored construction tradition that signifies the health and well-being of construction workers and future occupants.
In addition to the beam signing, there will be several guest speakers including Habersham County Commission Chair Victor Anderson.
The ceremony begins at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 21 at the county admin building construction site. It’s located at 130 Jacobs Way in Clarkesville, next to the county recreation building on Highway 17 (Toccoa Highway).
