State fire investigators are asking for the public’s help to find who’s responsible for torching a vehicle in Habersham County earlier this month.
The 2007 Gray Dodge Nitro was reported stolen on Feb. 14, according to a news release from the State Fire Insurance Commissioner’s office. It was found burned around 4 p.m. the following day on Wilson Road near Mt. Airy.
State fire investigators ruled it arson. State Fire Commissioner Ralph Hudgens estimates the total loss at around $8,000.
Anyone with information about the fire is urged to call the Georgia Arson Hotline at 1-800-282-5804. You may remain anonymous.
Rewards of up to $10,000 are given for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of an arsonist.
