Some City of Demorest Water customers will experience outages Tuesday, January 30, as crews work to repair a service line in the area of Highway 115.
The city issued an alert late this afternoon stating the work will impact customers along Highway 115, Pardue Mill Road and Crestview Road.
Demorest Water customers in the impacted areas should prepare for service interruptions that will last anywhere from one to eight hours. There may also be intermittent disruptions of water pressure. “Normal water service will be restored to your area as soon as crews complete the necessary work,” the alert states.
Once water service is restored, any air in the lines or discolored water can be corrected by running cold faucets until the water clears.
