Manhunt ends in arrest

A Cleveland man is behind bars following a manhunt in White County. The Georgia Department of Corrections says the suspect fled from a traffic stop Thursday. The suspect is identified as 31-year-old Justin Lee Harkins of Cleveland. Authorities say he was wanted for felony probation violations and was allegedly in possession of  28 grams of methamphetamine.

A number of state and local agencies assisted in the search for Harkins in the area of Duncan Bridge Road. Lee Arrendale State Prison K9 Handlers tracked and caught him.

He was taken into custody by the White County Sherrif’s Office without incident.
