90-year WWII veteran Paul Allen made his comment while watching crews install monument panels at the Habersham County Veterans Wall of Honor in Cornelia on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015. The panels bear the names of 1,608 Habersham County veterans. Fundraising for the project began in 2001. It took the Habersham County Wall of Honor Committee 14 years to raise enough money to complete this first section of the wall. More panels with more names will be installed once enough money is raised.
