David A. “Snake” Garner, age 63, of Cornelia, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2017, following an extended illness.
Mr. Garner was born on April 9, 1954, in Toccoa, Georgia, to the late James and Mot Garner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the mother of his daughter, Fredia Elaine Maloy Garner and his daughter, Charlene Garner. Mr. Garner was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Heather Michelle Daniel and Joe of Alto; sisters and brothers-in-law: Sue and Perry Davidson of Alto, Joann and Donald Loggins of Mt. Airy, and Nina and Rob Rowland of Demorest; brothers and sisters-in-law, James P. and Jo Garner of Toccoa and Brian and Beverly Garner of Alto; grandchildren: Douglas Manus, Kaleb Manus, and Kateland Heffner; a host of nieces and nephews; and his beloved pet, Sister.
Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 14, 2017, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia, with Mr. Rob Rowland speaking. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Hill’s Crossing Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12-2 pm on Saturday, October 14, 2017, prior to the service at the funeral home.
