Monday, November 6, 2017, marks the 40th anniversary of the dam break at Toccoa Falls College. In recognition of the somber anniversary, Toccoa Falls College will hold a special Remembrance Service during its Homecoming this weekend.
Hundreds of alumni, faculty, and staff will be returning to campus for the school’s homecoming, October 6th – 7th. In a press release the school officials say they decided to hold the Remembrance Service during this time to allow returning alumni an opportunity to participate in the event.
The Remembrance Service will be held at 2 p.m., on Saturday, October 7 at the falls. President Robert Myers and the Toccoa Falls College community cordially invite everyone to attend this special remembrance service commemorating the 40th anniversary of the dam break.
Reprints of the book, “A Dam Break In Georgia” will once again be available in the TFC Bookstore after this date.
