Electrical service is now fully restored in Habersham.
Habersham EMC says the last of its known outages, other than those where the homeowner needs to make repairs, were resolved as of 10 p.m. Monday.
Spokesperson Nicole Dover says if anyone is still experiencing an outage, they should call the office to report it. (706) 754-2112, (706) 865-4362 or (800) 640-6812.
Tropical Storm Irma broke more than 250 HEMC power poles throughout the local cooperative’s six-county service area. At its peak, 25,776 HEMC members in Habersham, Hall, Lumpkin, Rabun, Stephens and White Counties were without power.
Georgia Power reported nearly 1 million outages statewide after the storm. All but a few scattered Georgia Power outages were restored by Sunday.
