With the outer bands of Hurricane Irma coming to North Georgia, sports will take a hiatus for at least Monday.
Any and all athletic events are postponed across the region, as their host schools are closed. In other words, if a school is closed, there will be no practices and/or games.
While it is unorthodox, some football teams held practices Sunday in preparation for not being able to practice on Monday.
