The man suspected of robbing banks in Cornelia and Clermont has been captured in Colorado.
47-year-old Michael Anthony Gordon of White County was being sought in connection with the April 26th robbery of the South State Bank branch inside Ingles in Cornelia and the April 5th robbery of the United Community Bank in Clermont.

Warrants were issued against Gordon on April 27th for armed robbery, aggravated assault, kidnapping, possession of a firearm during commission of a crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Gordon is expected to be extradited back to Georgia to face the charges.
