Two ladies who cared deeply for Jesus got some materials, spices and maybe some flowers, and sorrowfully went to the tomb, praying that the guards might let them fix the body more properly. It must have been a bright morning, sun shining and birds singing. But the tomb is empty! Later, when Mary recognized Jesus alive and well, joy bloomed like a bright flower!
While we see much evil at work everywhere in the world today we know by faith in the risen Jesus we overcome the world and one day will partake of a homecoming reunion with our Lord in heaven.
Jesus overcame the world and Satan so we by faith in Jesus will one day rejoice as Mary did that bright morning long ago. Jesus will also return to earth one day! Even so, Lord Jesus, come!
