For the Habersham girls soccer program, this year has been a great one, and after three straight wins, the Lady Raiders are now 3-1 in region play.
There is a lot of soccer left to be played, but early on the girls have put themselves in a great position to perhaps get to the state playoffs. After dropping their opening region game against Lanier on March 3 by a nail-biting 4-3 score, the Lady Raiders rebounded with wins over Gainesville (5-0 score), Winder-Barrow (4-2) and Dacula (2-1).
A rematch against Lanier comes Tuesday on the home turf. The Lady Raiders are looking to make state for the first time in this decade, and two more wins would give them their highest win total since 2011.
There are three home games and four road matches remaining on the season.
