The Habersham County Little League spring season kicks off on Saturday, March 25th with a jam-packed Opening Day event.
A parade of athletes begins at 10 AM followed by the Opening Day Ceremony which includes the announcement of the 2017 Volunteer of the Year, the introduction of the Chase Your Dreams Scholarship Fund, and the reveal of the Spring T-shirt Design and naming of the T-shirt contest winner.
Evan Oglesby, former NFL athlete and Founder of the Evan Oglesby Charitable Foundation, is slated to be the keynote speaker.
“We are very proud of the hard work and determination that has been displayed during practices this season and look forward to another amazing little league season,” shared Christan Tanner, President of the Habersham County Little League Board.
Games begin at 11 AM with the annual Challenger Game taking center stage. The entire community is invited to attend and celebrate our athletes, coaches and officials as they take the fields. Bring the entire family for a day of games, concessions and community.
