Roxana Barrett Black, age 63 of Cornelia went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 04, 2017 at her residence.
Born in Topeka, Kansas, she was a daughter of the late Lee and Dorene McMillian Barrett. Mrs. Black was a loving wife, Mama, Nana, and sister. She enjoyed traveling to car shows in Pigeon Forge, dinners with her family, and loved having her grandbabies surrounding her.
Surviving are her husband of 45 years, Gerald Lee (Gary) Black of Cornelia; son and daughter-in-law, Jeffery and Pam Black of Cornelia; daughters, Amy Thompson and Bonnie Padgett, both of Cornelia; brothers and sisters-in-law, Steve and Carol Barrett of Baldwin, Wayne and Carole Barrett of Cornelia, Vic and Mary Montgomery of Kansas; brother, Jerry Barrett of Alto; sisters, Carolyn Reece and Marilyn Faulkner, both of Cornelia, Stormy Bramlett of Baldwin; Grandchildren, Karley and Gentry Black, Josie and Kindal Thompson, Zac and Cheyanne Pardue, and Peyton Padgett.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Tuesday, February 7, 2017 from the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth McEntire officiating. Interment will follow in the Level Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Monday at the funeral home.
