The Warriors’ football program pens a new chapter with the arrival of new head coach Tim Cokely, ending a six-year stint for Bill Ballard.
White County had gone just 4-16 over the past two seasons under Ballard, including just 1-9 in 2016. Cokely brings with him an exceptional winning tradition, as he has had coaching stints at Colquitt County (2005-07) and Greater Atlanta Christian (2010-11) in Georgia, while also coaching in Florida.

He recently coached at Leon High School in Tallahassee, getting his team to state in three of four seasons. His coaching stops have also included North Florida Christian (2008-10; 1995-2005) and Marianna High School (2012). His career record in all is 185-73.
Cokely’s display at GAC from 2010-11 included at 17-5 mark, while he went 14-18 in his three seasons at Colquitt County.
Ballard’s reign at White County proved to be one of the most successful in Warriors history, as the football program made the state playoffs in three straight seasons from 2012-14, including a 9-win 2013 season that saw the Warriors advance to the second round.
