A portion of Main Street in Cornelia will be closed this week for railroad crossing maintenance. Norfolk Southern is scheduled to begin work on downtown crossings this Thursday, February 9. Traffic along State Route 105/Main Street will be detoured while the work is being done.
City officials say the road should only be closed for one day. That could change, however, depending on the amount of maintenance that needs to be done on the railroad.
