Photo released of man charged in child’s death in Cleveland

36-year old James Holcomb is charged with DUI and vehicular homicide in the death of 3-year old Easton Cain. Authorities say Cain died after Holcomb ran into him with his pickup truck in a grocery store parking lot, pinning the child between the truck and an SUV.

(Cleveland)- The White County Sheriff’s Office has released a photo of the man charged in Tuesday’s death of a 3-year old boy in a grocery store parking lot.

The Georgia State Patrol has charged 36-year old James Lyn Holcomb with DUI – driving under the influence of drugs; homicide by vehicle in the 1st degree – a felony; driving with an expired license, operating a vehicle without insurance, and reckless driving.

The child, Easton Cain of Cleveland, died of injuries after being pinned between two vehicles in the Ingles store parking lot.

Ministers will be available Wednesday to meet with anyone impacted by the tragedy.

The public service agencies of White County and the ministry services of Cleveland Worship Center are offering grief and support services to the public, according to a social media post from White County Emergency Medical Services. Ministers will be available at Cleveland Worship Center, on East Kytle Street at Dixon Street from 2-4 p.m.

Funeral arrangements for Easton Cain are incomplete at this time and will be announced later by Alexander Funeral Home in Cleveland.
