Liquor by the drink and Sunday sales to be allowed starting January 1st
(Cleveland)- The White County Board of Commissioners have wasted no time in carrying out the wishes of the voters and Monday voted to revised the county’s Alcohol Ordinance related to the sales of distilled spirits by the drink, Sunday retail package sales of beer and wine and Sunday sales by the drink for beer, wine and distilled spirits.
Voters in the county approved each of those provisions in the November 8th general election. Retailers must adhere with the the current provision that alcohol sales not exceed 40 percent of their total sales.
The commissioners in approving the revisions approved a $2,500 fee for distilled spirits license.
The effective date for the new provisions is January first.
