Piedmont’s women’s basketball team starts December with a 3-2 record overall after a 76-69 win over Berry College in the Johnny Mize Athletic Center.
A win over Oglethorpe the prior day gives the Lady Lions a boost as they head into the December schedule. Piedmont is led by former Habersham Lady Raider Brianna Barrett, who averages 9.6 points and 3.2 rebounds per game. Another former Habersham standout, Carly Sales, averages 8.8 points and 4.6 boards per contest.
The Lady Lions’ three wins have all come on the home court, while they fell in consecutive days to North Central College and North Park University, both on the road in Chicago.
The women return to action on December 3 at home against Salem College, one of three home contests to finish out 2016.
