November 30 is more than just another game for the Truett Lady Bears; it marks a chance to get back to .500 play both overall and in conference play.
The Lady Bears are 3-4 overall and 1-2 in the Appalachian Athletic Conference, and take on Union College in a conference matchup on November 30 for a chance to even the records before December begins.
After a pair of back-to-back impressive wins over Toccoa Falls and Colombia College, Truett has dropped two straight to Tennessee Wesleyan and 24th-ranked Milligan. The women came close to pulling off the upset, but fell 80-72.
Ariana Sanders proves to be the focal point of the offense with 18 points per contest. Janae’ Simpson (13 ppg) and Anna Murr (12.6 ppg) also contribute heavily to the offensive output. Murr has dropped 24 3-pointers this season, shooting 35% from beyond the arc.
Rebounding continues to be an issue for the women, as they average six less per game than their opponents.
