Election Day 2016

Today is Election Day 2016 and Americans are heading to the polls to put the finishing touches on this historical presidential campaign. Here in Habersham election officials expect lines will be minimal considering nearly 63% of the county’s active, registered voters have already cast ballots.

Still, be prepared to wait, especially if you’re planning on voting on your way to or from work today. Election Supervisor Laurel Ellison says she expects the longest lines will be around 7 a.m. and between 4-5 p.m.
