Tallulah Falls’ coed soccer and volleyball teams have enjoyed success recently, with the soccer team taking down Cherokee last week, and the volleyball team sweeping West Jackson.
Middle school coed soccer
The Tallulah Falls School middle school coed soccer team defeated Cherokee by a 4-2 score in a September 12 match. Eli Higbie scored two goals, Shawn Huebner scored one, and Grey Bourlet scored the first goal of his TFS soccer career. Chathan Clouatre was a team leader throughout the match and was voted “Captain for a Game” for the next match.
“The Middle School soccer team is having a successful season so far,” said coach Zach Roland. “The growth already shown and the potential this team has is huge.”
Middle school volleyball
The TFS middle school volleyball ‘A’ team swept West Jackson 2-0 winning 25-4 and 25-9. Coach Madisen Miller stated, “The girls played very well and had several serving runs, the longest of these by Caroline Turpin with 11 straight serves.
The ‘B’ team alswo swept West Jackson 2-0 ny scores of 25-21 and 25-12. Coach Miller singled out the outstanding play of Allie Dalton who had several key kills, and Emily Church and Sarah Jennings who had some excellent digs.
