Demorest City Council held its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, and following a brief agenda, voted on several items of action.
The Council heard a second reading for a motion to increase the size of the City of Demorest Planning Commission, from three members, to five.
In voting action, Councilwoman Wikle made a motion to approve the amended Planning Commission Ordinance. A second was received by Councilman Popham. Councilwoman Wikle then made a motion to appoint Nancy Adams to the Planning Commission. A second was received by Councilman Popham, and the motion was approved.
Demorest City Council members also voted, as other local Habersham municipalities, to approve the radio maintenance fee agreement with Habersham County. The motion was approved unanimously by the Council.
