(Cleveland)- A 17 year old male has been arrested in White County and charged with murder. The White County Sheriff’s Office in a news release said the incident happened Friday afternoon at approximately 2 p.m. in the Eagles Landing Subdivision.
The release said, Savon A. Williams, a 21 year old male from Cleveland, was found dead as a result of a gunshot wound, in the basement of a residence at 50 Eagle Ridge Trail, Cleveland.
Chief Deputy Bob Ingram said in a phone interview, the call was initially reported to 9-1-1 dispatch as an apparent suicide. He said, as they investigated the incident it was determined suspicious in nature, that’s when they called in the Georgia Bureau of Investigation for assistance.
According to Ingram there were four people in the basement at the time the incident occurred. Late Friday night authorities arrested 17-year old Christopher T. Courville, of Cadillac, Michigan, who according to Ingram, has been charged with murder and concealing a crime.
The investigation continues by the GBI and White County Sheriff’s Office.
