Antoniewicz Named TMC Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach

Truett McConnell men’s soccer head coach Rob Miller has announced that former BearMichael Antoniewicz has been named Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach.

“I’m very happy to introduce Michael as the new assistant coach at Truett McConnell,” said Miller. “He has a tremendous work ethic and passion for soccer. He will be a good Christian example for our young student-athletes.”

Antoniewicz played collegiately at TMU for four years, tallying four goals and 13 assists. The former team captain led the Bears to receive votes in the national rankings and to the AAC semifinals last season.

“After spending four years at Truett McConnell as a student athlete, I had the time of my life,” said Antoniewicz. “I was very blessed to play with some great players and to play under great coaches. The program has been on the fringes of success and I want to help bring the program to the next level and be a championship winning program. I want to thank everyone who made this possible, and I can’t wait to get started. To be assistant under such a successful coach like Rob is a honor, and I know I will learn a lot from him. I want to help develop players to their fullest potential but also to help strengthen their walk in Christ.”

Born in Kirkcaldy, Scotland, Antoniewicz graduated from TMU with a 3.51 grade point average and a Bachelor of Science in Business with a concentration in Sports Management. Prior to coming to TMU, he represented the Fife County team in Italy as well as the senior team at Bell Baxter High School.

Antoniewicz is the son of Patricia and Sergio Antoniewicz. He has one brother, Ben.
