Earl Ivester, age 71, Cornelia, Georgia, went to be with The Lord on Friday, June 10, 2016 following an extended illness.
Mr. Ivester was born on October 6, 1944, in Habersham County, Georgia to the late Claude Lee and Elsie Lee Ivester. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Arbie Ivester. Mr. Ivester was of the Baptist faith. He was retired from Habersham Metal Products with 27 years of loyal and dedicated service.
He was a precious member of our family, and he will be sorely missed. He was a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Survivors include his wife, Janie Sue Stephens Ivester, Cornelia, GA; son and fiancé, Jeff Ivester and Donna Hudgins, Demorest, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Tina Ivester, Cornelia, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Jewel and Charlie Moore, Clarkesville, GA; brother and sister-in-law, O’Neal and Brenda Ivester, Clarkesville, GA; grandchildren, Cory Ivester, Cynthia Trotter, Brittany Smith; Courtney Smith; three great-grandchildren
Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 12, 2016, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel with Rev J. R. Elrod officiating. Interment to follow in Yonah memorial Gardens with Rev. Ricky Wade officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, June 11, 2016.
