BLITZ Sports has released the names of this year’s nominees for Girls and Boys Golfer of the Year awards. Five golfers from schools in Habersham County made the cut
They are:
GIRLS
Camryn Fricks (Habersham) – Area 9th (93) / No State
Brinson Hall (Tallulah Falls) – Area Runner-Up (78) / 1A State 7th (78,85;163)
Maggie Jackson (Tallulah Falls) – Area 3rd (79) / 1A State 6th (83,78;161)
BOYS
Smith Caudell (Habersham) – Area 7th (77) / 6A State 37th(79,76;155)
Kale Corbett (Tallulah Falls) – Area (90) / No State
In all, 21 girls and 19 boys were nominated. The nominations derive from the top performers at area and state for local squads.
