Thursday, Easton Foundation Founder Casey Lizama made the first announcement concerning the upcoming Battle of The Heroes football game. In the 4th consecutive year of the event, the contest will be held on July 23rd, 2016 at 7:00pm, in Raider Stadium, on John Larry Black Field.
This year’s contest will continue to feature the county’s heroes including members from Habersham County’s Fire and Sheriff Departments in a flag football matchup. With new changes to the game and stadium, fans can expect an all new game-day experience at Raider Stadium. This game will mark the first full game held at Raider Stadium since last fall when crews began work on the new artificial turf, video and audio enhancements, as well as a new track.
This year’s festivities separate from the football game will include a K-9 exhibition, concert by Chase Thomas & vendors throughout the concourse. Due to the advancement in the facilities at Raider Stadium, respective members of the media are asked to request credentials by using the contact listed above. Currently, general admission tickets are not on sale but a later announcement will be made detailing ticket prices and levels.

The Easton Foundation is located in Habersham County, Georgia. After losing a beloved friend and teen, Easton Singleton to a car accident in 2012 our community gathered together to turn tragedy into triumph. Casey Lizama, a friend of Easton wanted to help other teens with pain and loss but, at the same time encourage other youth to connect with their community and become leaders.
