(Helen)- There are five people who are seeking two open positions on the Helen City Commission in the November 3rd municipal election, those five candidates met for a community forum Tuesday night.
The five candidates Cinnaiomon Spurlock, Lee Landress, Ronnie Helton and the two incumbents Donna K. Burk and Jeff Ash answered questions from people attending the forum at the Helen Arts and Heritage Center Conference room.
Most of the questions centered around the city’s business area and attracting visitors to the city. There was also questions about fire protection and communication between the city and citizens and business owners.
The election will be held November 3rd when polls will be open from 7am until 7pm.
Early voting is being conducted now in the city of Helen as well as in Cleveland. Early voters can cast ballots at each city hall.
