3 injured in GA 365 wreck

The Georgia State Patrol has charged an Alto woman with failure to yield in a wreck that injured three people on Friday, including an 8-year-old boy.

Troopers from Georgia State Patrol Post 7 in Toccoa investigated the wreck. Troopers say 37-year-old Deanna Huckabee was driving a Honda Accord south on GA 365 when she turned left onto Alto Mud Creek Road and pulled into the path of a northbound Chevrolet Cruze. The Cruze struck the Accord in the right rear wheel area.

The wreck injured an 8-year-old passenger in Huckabee’s vehicle. EMS transported the child to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta with non-life-threatening injuries.

The wreck also injured the driver of the Cruze, 29-year-old Angelica Pedro, and a passenger in her vehicle, 20-year-old Fernando Pedro, both of Cornelia. Habersham EMS transported them to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville for treatment of their injuries.

Troopers charged Pedro for being an unlicensed driver.
