A multi-agency law enforcement operation headed by Jackson County Sheriff’s Office led to 20 arrests last week during a targeted warrant round-up and crime suppression effort.
Throughout the day, deputies – alongside partner agencies – executed arrest warrants for individuals wanted on a range of charges, according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office. On the evening of Thursday, May 15, law enforcement focused on traffic enforcement as part of broader crime suppression efforts.
Authorities say the operation yielded significant seizures, including:
- Over one pound of methamphetamine, with an estimated street value exceeding $37,000
- About 15 grams of fentanyl, valued at more than $2,000
- Around 1,000 grams of marijuana, worth over $20,000
- Three firearms, including a sawed-off shotgun, all allegedly recovered from convicted felons
Charges resulting from the operation include trafficking methamphetamines, trafficking fentanyl, multiple DUI offenses, probation violations and various traffic-related violations, according to police.
