#10-ranked Lady Indians grab second straight region win

Bailey Crumley (Austin Poffenberger)

The Lady Indians, playing for the first time since their epic win over Commerce (which earned them a #10 state ranking), earned a 7-0 win at home against Athens Christian. Every roster player was able to contribute and get significant time on the pitch.

TFS pulled ahead with a 4-0 first half, and tacked on a few more goals the rest of the way. Jenna Chesser recorded her second hat trick of the season, and LB Kafsky, Maddie LeBlanc, Tessa Foor, and Bailey Crumley all scored. Kafsky added two assists, while Lily Desta and LeBlanc had one apiece. The team put 30 shots up to keep Athens Christian’s defense busy.

“Every single player on our 21-deep roster had plenty of playing time tonight,” exclaims coach Erin Jimenez. “Our older girls really helped develop our program tonight, especially Maddie LeBlanc. They supported our younger players and allowed them to have their time to shine. A hugely successful evening. With 21 girls on our roster, it’s really important for everyone on the squad to get experience.”

The defense was fantastic in securing a clean sheet, as Kydal Anderson added yet another shutout to her resume. TFS is now 3-2 overall and 2-0 in region play.
