Tony Wade, age 76, of Alto, Georgia, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 30, 2018, following an extended illness.
Mr. Wade was born on July 2, 1941, in Baldwin, Georgia, to the late Tilman and Josie Wade. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Jewell Cook and Nettie McDuffie and brothers: Woodrow Wade, Randolph Wade, Tilman Wade, Jr., Marvin Pierce, and Benny Pierce. He attended Alto Congregational Holiness Church and was a retired truck driver.
Survivors include his wife, Kimberly Wade of Alto; daughter, Erica Wade of Alto; stepdaughter, Stacey Few of St. Marys; son and daughter-in-law, Randall and Robbie Wade of Clarkesville; sons, Jason Tony Wade and Adam Tony Wade, both of Alto; sisters, Allie Savage and Betty Stewart, both of Alto; grandchildren, Bridget Lawson and husband Brent, and Abel Wade; great-grandchildren: Parker Williams, Randall Lee Lawson, and Casey Lawson; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia, with Rev. Scott Ledbetter and Rev. Paul Flynn officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Monday, April 2, 2018, at the funeral home.
