Zekeiah Veranick “Nikki” Cole Hunt was born to Katrina Cole Dorsey (Terry Dorsey) on December 17, 1980 in Demorest, GA.
From an early age, Nikki joined Ebenezer Baptist Church in Mt. Airy, Georgia and started her service to the Lord. While at EBC, Nikki worked as a Sunday School teacher, Youth Leader and even as the Church’s Treasurer at the age of 17. Later in her life she became a member of St. John Baptist Church in Gainesville, Georgia and served on their Greeter’s Ministry. Nikki continued to support both EBC and St. John faithfully. She departed this life on October 23, 2017 after an untimely accident while on the job.
Nikki matriculated through the Habersham County School System and graduated from Habersham Central High School. In 2005, she united with her husband, Ryan “Creek” Hunt as a devoted wife and friend. Nikki was also the proud and loving mother to her children, Braxton Marquis Cole, Trinity Nicole Hunt, and Khloe Christine Rochelle Hunt. Everyone knew Nikki by her huge beautiful smile that came with a heartfelt embrace. She lived for her family and was supportive of all their endeavors.
Also in 2005, Nikki began working as a Postal Carrier with the United States Postal Service and served her community with great joy. She recently volunteered and was elected to the position of National Rural Letter Carriers of America Union Steward for the Clarkesville Post Office. All of Nikki’s customers and coworkers were a part of her extended family and will forever be changed by her electric smiling spirit. She was the true embodiment of service with a smile and believed that the work she’s done would speak for her.
