Yaneli Lara-Zavala, age 21, of Alto, passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2021.
Born on July 22, 1999, in Demorest, she was a daughter of Leobardo Lara and Evangelina Zavala-Lara. Yaneli enjoyed going to Mexico to visit family and was an honor graduate of Habersham Central High School. She was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church and a lovely sister and daughter.
In addition to her parents, survivors include her fiancé, Jovanny Garrido of Cornelia; son, Anthony Jonathan Lara of Alto; brothers, Adrian Lara and Emiliano Lara, both of Alto; sister, Hailey Lara of Alto; paternal grandparents, David Lara and Elena Martinez; and maternal grandparents, Jesus Zavala and Gloria Nunez.
Funeral Mass will be held at 1:30 pm on Saturday, February 27, 2021, at St. Mark’s Catholic Church with Pastor José Luis Hernandez-A officiating.
Interment will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, February 28, 2021, at Level Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends beginning at 1 pm on Friday, February 26, 2021, at their residence, 199 Church Street, Alto, Georgia 30510.
