ATHENS, Ga. — Athens police have arrested a woman in connection with a weekend shooting that left three teenagers wounded in the heart of downtown.

Tatianna Wilbon, 24, of Athens, was taken into custody on September 30. She faces three counts of aggravated assault and three counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, Athens-Clarke County police announced Wednesday.

The charges stem from a violent confrontation that unfolded just before 4 a.m. Sunday in the busy bar district. Officers were called to the 100 block of East Clayton Street after reports of a fight. Police say they dispersed the crowd, but the group regrouped near Lumpkin Street minutes later. That’s when multiple gunshots rang out.

Three teens were struck by the gunfire. Emergency crews rushed them to a local hospital, where all were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing, and police are urging anyone with information to come forward. Detective David Harrison can be reached at 762-400-7361 or
