William Gerald Criddle, age 75, of Gainesville, entered heaven Saturday, July 29, 2023, at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Gainesville.
Gerald was born July 13, 1948, in Houlka, Mississippi, to the late Sandy & Jimmie Grace Burgess Criddle. He was a former member of the Masonic Lodge in Mississippi and worked as an Irrigation Technician with Hawks Ridge Golf Course. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church and was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Earl Criddle.
Left to cherish precious memories, significant other, Joy Marie Fountain; son, Tim (Kacee) Criddle; daughter, Misty (CJ) Caballero; grandchildren, Elijah Thompson, Alivia (Kohlton) Bloom, Madison Criddle & Jacob Criddle; great-grandchild, Paisley Bloom; brothers, Eddie Criddle, Freddie Criddle; sister, Carol Duncan; mother of his children, Sarah Ann Criddle; a number of nieces, nephews & other relatives also survive.
Funeral services honoring Gerald will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at the Ward’s Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Scott Waters officiating. He will be laid to rest at Alta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
