A Pumpkin Spice Warning is in effect for Northeast Georgia this weekend.
After a wet week some dry weather is finally arriving, and so is cool weather. Not only will it be dry, but it will also be cooling off significantly. In fact, temperatures will drop solidly into “Pumpkin Spice” territory by Saturday and Sunday.
The remnants of Sally have moved well away from the area and a cold front has pushed through. Behind this front, we’ll see winds shift to the east over the weekend and a much cooler, fall-like airmass will move in.
Expect one more warm day on Friday before temps fall by 10-15 degrees over the weekend. Winds will be light and out of the east with some clouds around on Saturday. Sunday looks absolutely perfect with highs only around 70. Morning lows on Sunday will drop to around the 50-degree mark region-wide.
Next week we’ll see the temps continue to cool off for a couple of days before a gradual warming trend, but more on that later.
