Week 6 officially marks the halfway point of the season. Region play littered the scoreboard across Northeast Georgia.
#6 Rabun County 31, Banks County 9
The Wildcats and Leopards were knotted at zero after one, and Banks took a 3-0 lead on a Joseph Ramos 28-yd FG. Reid Giles gave Rabun the lead on a 2-yd TD, and added another in the third from a few yards out for the 14-3 lead. A blocked punt moments later was scooped up by Jake Payne, who raced in for the 22-3 lead after a successful 2-point try by Clayton Blalock. A Noah English safety in the fourth made was followed by a Lake Evans 19-yd TD to put the finishing touches on a 31-9 final.

North Hall 35, White County 21
The Trojans shocked White County in a region 35-21 win. The Warriors trailed early before Tripp Nix threw a tying 5-yd TD to Zach Godfrey to end the first. He again tied it early in the second on a 38-yd TD pass again to Godfrey, but North Hall pulled ahead once more. Nix would score on a 46-yd TD run to tie the game up just before the half, but the Trojans would score the final 14 points while holding White County scoreless the rest of the way.
Lumpkin County 49, Chestatee 25
The Indians got back on the winning track in a blowout 49-25 win against Chestatee.
#4 Athens Academy 29, Commerce 28
Athens Academy pulled out a thrilling 29-28 win over Commerce in a pivotal region matchup. It was 7-0 Spartans after the first and it reached 14-0 before Tysean Wiggins got in on a 2-yd score. AA took a 21-7 halftime lead. Following a third-quarter turnover, Wiggins found pay dirt to get within a score. Jaiden Daniels then threw a 96-yd TD pass to Wiggins to tie the game, sending it to the fourth tied at 21. Jacari Huff had a 79-yd TD with 7:12 to go, giving Commerce its first lead of the game, but Athens Academy scored late and used a 2-point conversion to take the win on the road.
Pickens 35, Dawson County 23
The Tigers had their best showing offensively this season in a 35-23 region loss to Pickens. The Dragons led 14-10 at the half, though Dawson got a Jacob Felkai 23-yd FG and a Preston Bannister 13-yd TD run. After falling behind 21-10, the Tigers got back in it following a Luke Smith interception that set up a Cody McBrayer TD run. Dawson trailed 28-17 going into the fourth, but Gunnar Weaver, who came in at QB, scored on a keeper to get within 28-23 with 9 minutes to play.
Butler 26, Towns County 3
The Indians couldn’t get much going aside from a field goal and suffered their second straight loss in a 26-3 final against Butler.
Union County 21, North Murray 0
It was a low-scoring affair for Union, but the Panthers took a 21-0 over previously unbeaten (in region) North Murray. Kamden Kendrick threw a pair of TD passes to Maddox Young, and the latter had a rushing TD as well. The defense put a bagel on the board in a key region win.
