Vietnam veterans ceremony to be held at Freedom Park March 29

The Northeast Georgia Veterans Society will hold a ceremony honoring Vietnam veterans this Tuesday at Freedom Park in Cleveland.

March 29 marks Vietnam Veterans Day, during which the country honors those veterans who served in the Vietnam War and their sacrifices. Organizer and NGVS President Ron Webb will speak at the event among veterans and their supporters.

The event will include the presentation of colors from the White County High School JROTC, the singing of the national anthem by Kurt Johnson, remarks and the playing of Taps to honor veterans.

The public is encouraged to attend. The ceremony will begin at 10:00 a.m. at Freedom Park, located in Downtown Cleveland.
