Traditions Bank will officially open its Clarkesville branch on Friday, March 28, marking its second location in Habersham County.
The other location is on Cannon Bridge Road in Cornelia.
The bank’s drive-thru will open at 8:30 a.m., followed by the lobby at 9:00 a.m. Customers are invited to stop by, take a tour and meet the Clarkesville team.
Clarkesville Market Executive and Project Manager Sidney Roland has overseen the development for nearly a year.
The new branch is located at the intersection of GA 17 and GA 197 on land that was formerly part of Stoney’s Family Restaurant. The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) had acquired most of the corner property for a planned roundabout at the intersection. That project has faced multiple delays and is not expected to begin until late 2025 or early 2026.
Traditions Bank, based in Rabun County, broke ground on the Clarkesville branch in May of 2024.
