Josh Wilson, who has had multiple Top 10 hits on Billboard’s Christian chart, will be in concert September 23 in the Worship Center of Concord at Habersham. Sponsored by Concord at Habersham and the Piedmont FCA, the concert is free and begins at 6 p.m. – doors open at 5:30 p.m.
“We are so excited to offer this special treat to the Habersham community and to the Piedmont students,” says Randy Williams, campus pastor of Concord at Habersham. “Josh is a multi-talented musician, with an incredible voice. But what has always struck me, is his songwriting. The words to his songs have ministered to me personally over the years in a mighty way. I truly believe everyone who comes to the concert will be blessed.”
Wilson, a Texas-native, started playing piano at nine years old, then took up guitar and drums when he was 10. During his high school years, he continued to hone his musicianship, and eventually he fell in love with songwriting at Nashville’s Belmont University.
Since signing his first record deal with Sparrow in 2006, Wilson has become a staple on radio, amassing multiple top 10 hits on Billboard’s Hot Christian Songs chart, including “Savior, Please,” “I Refuse,” “Fall Apart,” “Carry Me,” “Before the Morning,” and “That Was Then, This Is Now.” He’s toured with some of the Christian music’s biggest acts — including Third Day, Steven Curtis Chapman, Matthew West, Casting Crowns, and Building 429.
“This night will be a great chance for people to come hang out with friends and family and enjoy one of the top Christian music artists of this time,” Williams adds. “We are fortunate to be one of the stops on his national tour.”
Concord at Habersham is located in the old Demorest Elementary School at 250 Alabama Street.
