Teen Cited in Wreck That Injured Three

A Baldwin teenager is charged in connection with a weekend wreck that sent her and a passenger to the hospital. The Georgia State Patrol says 18-year old Savanna King was cited for failure to yield while turning left after her Honda CMC was struck by a Ford Taurus at the intersection of Highway 441 and Cannon Bridge Road in Cornelia.

The accident happened around 7:30 Saturday evening.

According to the GSP report, King was attempting to turn left into the old Walmart shopping center when she ran into the path of the Taurus driven by 40-year old Jessica Rodgers of Toccoa. Rodgers was approaching the intersection from Cannon Bridge Road. Both drivers told authorities they had a green light.

King and her passenger, 20-year old Lonnie Harris of Homer, were transported by ambulance to Habersham County Medical Center with unspecified injuries.

Rodgers complained of injury but was not transported by ambulance.
