Tallulah Falls School hosted its annual summer Fundamentals Basketball Camp on May 31 – June 2 in the TFS gymnasium.
Forty-five students ranging in age from kindergarten to sixth grade participated in the day camp, which taught basic skills such as shooting and ball handling. After three days of drills, contests, games and one-on-one instruction from TFS varsity coaches Jim Van Hooser, Tom Tilley, Ashley Bagley, Lowell Hamilton and a large contingent of TFS student assistants, awards were given in several categories.
Free throw award (boy/girl): Kindergarten – first grade: Asa Popham, Sammy Crosby; second grade: James Black, Laura Blake Kafsky; third grade: Marshall Dow, Sophie Weatherly; fourth grade: Jordan Saddler, Elizabeth Huebner; fifth grade: Sam Hamilton, Allie Phasavang; sixth grade: Henry Bowman, Jayln Colston.
Best ball handler (boy/girl): Kindergarten – first grade: Asa Popham, Stella Rose Bowman; second grade: James Black, Laura Blake Kafsky; third grade: Marshall Dow, Carsyn Griffis; fourth grade: Clay Kafsky, Millie Holcomb; fifth grade: Sam Ketch, Maebree Holcomb; sixth grade: Henry Rickman, Ella Dow.
